Night of Museums in Wadowice

On the 14th of May 2016 from 6p.m. to 12p.m. we invite to participate in the new edition of the Night of Museums in Wadowice. The interested will not be disappointed, like every year, except exploring the permanent exhibitions there will be possibility to take part in the attractions offered by local museums.

ANDRYCHÓW
Regional Chamber of Andrychów Area
6p.m. – 8p.m. – ‘Open Air, birthday riddle (town game) - a walk around the town, taking pictures, solving puzzles - preparations for the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the town of Andrychów in 2017. (Participants receive the rules and small gifts in the Chamber).
6p.m. – 8p.m. – ‘Exploring the town plan’ (for children's primary schools) - laying on the floor banner (foreground) elements related to the riddles of Andrychów.
6p.m. – 11p.m. – ‘250 Questions on 250 - summer Andrychów’ - joint design a board game.
6, 7, 8p.m. - guided tours of the Chamber.

LANCKORONA
Chamber of the museum the name of the professor Antoni Krajewski
Exhibition of exhibits from excavations in the Lanckorona castle and everyday objects and handicrafts of local residents, from the early twentieth century.
One part of the exhibition is devoted to the Bar Confederation.
In addition, thematic meetings:
- Bar Confederation in the area of lanckorona in the written and material sources.
- The evolution of building around Lanckorona Market between the fourteenth and twenty-first centuries.

STRYSZÓW
Museum - Manor
Branch of the Wawel Royal Castle
- permanent exhibition ‘Interiors Polish manor house in the nineteenth century’
- temporary exhibition ‘Layers of memory - memories of residents of the Manor in Stryszów old photos’

TOMICE
Art Gallery Bałysówka
Exhibition of paintings and sculptures ‘Beauty unnoticed’ to celebrate the 150 - anniversary of the hut, which is located Art Gallery Bałysówka. Birth House - 1866-2016. Children can be painted in common ‘artwork’, representing Bałysówka and the creative work of painters and sculptors. The draw small gifts to all the children prepared by the artists.

Regional Chamber
The Chamber is located in the newly refurbished 100 - year old rural hut. There are presented the regional collections of old furniture, household equipment, sewing machines, clocks, tools, crafts and agriculture, sculptures, paintings, books and newspapers.

WADOWICE
Family Home Museum of the Holy Father John Paul II
From 7p.m. to 11p.m. visiting the Family Home of John Paul II. In addition, for the first time there will be available to visitors a new exhibition - SUFFERING MAKES SENSE - presenting the hospital room of John Paul II in the Gemelli Polyclinic. The exposition can be seen in the restored hall of the Catholic House (1 John Paul II Square).

Czytelnia Mieszczańska - Society of Friends of the Wadowice area
Open air exhibition of artworks created by the 8^th county open-air painting named F. Suknarowski and exhibition of contemporary and historical painting.

 Town Museum
- temporary exhibition ‘1956 - 1966 Millenium vs. Millennium’ celebrations of the Millennium Poloniae Sacrae and the Polish State Millennium
- permanent exhibition ‘Wadowice - the town where it all began’
- from 6p.m. to 12p.m. encampment of knights from the time of the Piast dynasty in the garden of the Museum
- open workshop positions  with making jewellery modeled on the medieval.
