New publications of Tourist Information in Wadowice!

Tourist Information of the Wadowice Commune has prepared new informational and promotional publications for tourists and inhabitants to facilitate the tour of Wadowice and the surrounding area and to bring closer the history of our unique region. There are the folder "Wadowice - it all started here", tourist map of the region with the plan of Wadowice "Wadowice and around", small map of tourist attractions in the region "Wadowice and surroundings" and a guide to the church - Sanctuary of St. Józef at the Monastery of Discalced Carmelites.

In the publication "Wadowice - it all started here" we invite you to learn about the history of Wadowice in relation to the Galician past and the figure of the future Pope John Paul II. We encourage you to spend time actively and family on the trails of the Little Beskids or in kayaks on Skawa. For the time of relaxation, we invite you to familiarize yourself with interesting collections, including in regional chambers or private museums. Our plans for the town and the surrounding area will be facilitated by numerous plans and maps.

The tourist map of the region along with the Wadowice plan "Wadowice and surroundings" has been prepared for enthusiasts of walking and cycling trips and interested in the cultural and natural heritage of the region. The topographic map is accompanied by descriptions and photos of places and objects worth visiting.

The small map "Wadowice and surroundings" in an accessible way shows and introduces us to tourist attractions in the region. Miniatures of objects that together with descriptions encourage to visit these places are its advantage.

Until now, among the publications devoted to religious monuments in Wadowice was the plan of the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Following the growing interest in "Karmell" in Wadowice, we have prepared a guide to the church - the Sanctuary of St. Józef at the Monastery of Discalced Carmelites, which in an accessible way introduces the history of the monastery temple on "Górka" and presents its relationship with Karol Wojtyła - Saint John Paul.
