Museum the Family Home of John Paul II in Wadowice is closed to visitors





Educational activities and all events organized by the Museum are canceled, including:

- meeting of the series "We remember him this way" - 18/03/2020
- Lenten mystery "Whoever guesses the cross will not fall" - 22 and 29/03/2020

Tickets purchased at the headquarters of the Museum can only be returned at the ticket office with a bill of sale and ticket. The ticket office is open from Monday to Sunday between 8. 30a.m. – 2.40p.m. The return must be made by the end of March. In the case of tickets paid by bank transfer, the refund will be made in the same way as the payment was made.

Information about all additional changes in the functioning of the Museum will be forwarded on a regular basis via the website www.domjp2.pl and the official profile of the Museum on Facebook.

Dear Sir or Madam,

In accordance with the recommendations for preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus, taking into account the assessment of the state of emergency, we kindly inform you that from March 14 until further notice, the Museum office will be closed and employees will be posted to work remotely.

Please direct all matters via e-mail: muzeum@domjp2.pl or ePUAP mailbox. Application documents in connection with recruitment should be also sent in a digital form to the above address. The employees of the Museum office are at your disposal from Monday to Friday from 8a.m. to 4p.m.

Official announcement from the website of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage:

In connection with the taking of decisive steps to stop the spread of the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus, the crisis staff with the participation of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage decided to temporarily close cultural institutions, philharmonics, operas, theaters, museums, cinemas and schools, universities and artistic education institutions from March 12, 2020.

This means the suspension of the organization of cultural events with the participation of the public, including concerts, performances, openings and special events held in closed rooms, the closing of museums for visitors and the suspension of classes at artistic education institutions of all levels.

The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage also recommends cultural institutions and artistic education institutions to cancel all foreign trips related to the implementation of cultural and artistic activities, including in particular participation in large mass events (fairs, exhibitions) and scholarship trips, in particular to countries with high morbidity SARS-COV-2 coronavirus.

At the same time, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage directs the institution's directors to develop the assumptions for the operation of the organizational unit in the event of an increased epidemiological threat in the area of ​​the institution's operation, confirmed by the communications of relevant services (local authorities and local sanitary and epidemiological services) and recommends that these plans ensure that only activities necessary to maintain business continuity.
