Let's meet together at the celebration of the 98th anniversary of the John Paul II’s birthday!

The day of May 18 is an important date not only for the inhabitants of Wadowice. On that day before 98 years Karol Wojtyła was born - Saint John Paul II. We cordially invite you to join in the joyful birthday celebration of one of the most outstanding Poles.

The annual tradition of celebrating the birth of Saint John Paul II is the nationwide rally of schools named after him.
The next points of the program of this year's celebrations are:

• 12.30 p.m. - the conclusion of the "Word of John Paul II to the young" competition and the ceremonial cutting of the birthday cake of John Paul II and refreshments for the participants of the event,
• 2:00 p.m. - a concert of firemen's orchestras
• 8 p.m. - concert of Raz Dwa Trzy band "Important songs"

The concert of the band Raz Dwa Trzy is a collection of important songs - stories about life, love, recesses of the human soul, which no one will remain indifferent. Once again, during the concert organized by the Wadowice Municipality, there will be a zone for the disabled - a specially designated place near the stage, where people with disabilities will be able to participate in this event in comfortable conditions. We cordially invite all interested - entry to the zone will be located on the side of the Municipal Office building.

At the end of the celebration of the 98th anniversary of the Karol Wojtyła's birth on Sunday, 20 May. Museum Family House of John Paul II in cooperation with the Wadowice Municipality invite you to the concert of the oratory "Tu es Petrus" under the leadership of Piotr Rubik, which will start at 5 p.m. on the Square of John Paul II.

The birthday celebrations of Saint John Paul II will be held as part of the Local Culture Week. The Wadowice Commune has obtained funding for the project from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas in the amount of PLN 88,946,00.
