1 530 / 5 000 Marc Chagall – Lithographs
From February 4, the Municipal Museum in Wadowice will be able to see the works of one of the greatest masters of 20th-century painting. We will present works from the collection entitled "Lithographs", which will certainly attract art lovers from the entire region.
Marc Chagall (1887-1985) is one of the most outstanding artists of the 20th century. Born into a poor Jewish family in Belarus, in his work he transports viewers to a world full of colors, fantasy and deep symbolism. His paintings are not only works of art, but also poetic stories about love, longing, as well as everyday life and Jewish mythology. Chagall often depicted couples in love, musicians, animals and everyday objects floating in the air. His characteristic style, combining elements of cubism, expressionism and surrealism, creates a unique, fairy-tale world.
