Indulgence in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska
This year the main August’s proceedings will take place on 17th of August (Friday at 3 p.m.) – funerary procession of Mother of God from the House of Mother of God and 19th of August (Sunday at 6:30 a.m.) – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s procession from the Grave of Mother of God. Pilgrims together with beautifully trimmed retinues accompanying sculpture of Mother of God will walk along the route of Dróżki Kalwaryjskie (Calvary Paths). Whereas on Saturday (18th of August) Bernardine monks invite to the Youth’s Day to the Kalwaria #theCaroline’sdream.
Karol Wojtyła as a little boy who was living in Wadowice he often visited with his father that place. One visit was special. When his mother had died his father – Karol senior took his sons to the monastery in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska and he was supposed to tell Karol “now this Mother of God from Kalwaria will be your mum”.
