Concert at the anniversary of John Paul II’s death

On the 2nd of April we celebrate the 12th anniversary of the death of St Pope John Paul II. To commemorate the memory of the distinguished patron of our town, we want to invite you at the Capella Cracoviensis concert entitled ‘Sonata Misteryjne & Passacaglia’. The event starts
at 6 p.m. in the State Music School I and II degree in Wadowice at 11 Legionów Street.

Capella Cracoviensis was founded in 1970 by Stanisław Gałoński. It consists of eminent instrumentalists and singers who performed in most European countries (including the Vatican, where they gave a special concert for Pope John Paul II and the Roman Curia), and in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. In 1992 Capella Cracoviensis received two prestigious awards for recording Darius Milhaud (6 Chamber Symphonies and Trois Operas Minutes) namely Diapason d'Or and Grand Prix du Disque de l'Academie Charles Gros. Since November 2008, the artistic director and head of Capella has been Jan Tomasz Adamus, the eminent organist, harpsichordist, conductor and animator of musical life.

This is the second performance of Capella Cracoviensis in Wadowice. Previously with the orchestra we hosted an outstanding genius violin - Fabio Ravasi

The organizers of the concert are Capella Cracoviensis and the Commune of Wadowice.
